Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Medical Transportation Devices Ltd (MTD) is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, in alignment with the UK Government’s target and broader global sustainability objectives.

Baseline Emissions

Baseline emissions represent the greenhouse gas outputs prior to the implementation of any reduction strategies, serving as a benchmark for tracking progress.

As a newly established company, MTD currently has no historical emissions data. We are committed to conducting a full carbon footprint assessment in 2026, following our first full operational year, to set an accurate baseline and inform our emissions reduction strategy.

Emissions Reduction Targets

While MTD is in its early operational phase and does not yet have measurable emissions data, we are actively embedding sustainability considerations into all aspects of our business.

We are committed to:

  • Establishing our emissions baseline during 2025–2026
  • Setting clear, measurable reduction targets based on this analysis
  • Aligning our practices with science-based targets and the goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050

Carbon Reduction Initiatives

Several initiatives have already been implemented to support our future sustainability goals:

  • Supply Chain Consolidation: We are working toward consolidating our manufacturing processes with fewer UK-based suppliers. This will reduce emissions associated with transportation and logistics.
  • Integrated Storage Solutions: Rather than establishing a separate storage facility—which would increase energy use and transport needs—we are partnering with our manufacturing suppliers to store finished goods and raw materials on-site, reducing transportation-related emissions.
  • Optimised Global Logistics: For international deliveries, we have adopted extended lead times to allow for consolidated and shared shipping, reducing the frequency and emissions of partially filled or dedicated transport vehicles.

These measures reflect our proactive approach to embedding low-carbon practices from the outset of our operations.

Next Steps

  •    Conduct a full carbon audit in 2026 to establish our baseline
  • Develop a detailed emissions reduction strategy based on the audit results
  • Continue exploring innovations in packaging, logistics, and operations to minimise our      environmental impact
